As we back away from the opalescent planet, we see the cause of the giant mountains. It is still unclear what object could have passed through this planet with such force as to cause this massive disturbance. It is likely that only a parameter bomb could have caused such a disturbance. We'll leave you to that investigation.

Animating water waves on a MojoWorld, using a 4D texture. There's no obvious aliasing in the original movie, but alas, the compression messes it up a bit. The cool thing is that it doesn't alias way out in the background...
